50th All Japan Show Grand Champion

Sakai Fish Farm took top honors once again at the the most special of Koi Shows… the 50th All Japan Koi Show. Sakai Fish Farm won Grand Champion with the famous S-Legend Kohaku.

At 101 centimeters (Nearly 40 Inches) this Kohaku displays massive body conformation that is strong from her head through the torso, right into the thick tail tube and sharp Odome.  A very powerful example of Sakai FF Kohaku.  Amazing body and condition… a very difficult thing to achieve with a koi of this age and size. A testimate to Sakai’s bloodlines and rearing techniques.

Congratulations to Kentaro Sakai (Breeder), Ms. Ying Ying (Dealer), Mr.Zhou (Owner) , and Sakai FF Staff on this great achievement!

Koi Health Summit

Join us at Pan Intercorp on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. for an in-depth look at koi health today.

“Koi Health Summit” is an ongoing series of health conferences especially designed to bring together diverse minds from the international koi and ornamental fish industry to explore the future of koi health, current best practices, and how these topics affect the hobby.

The first Koi Health Summit will feature guest speaker, Shoh Sato, Head of Fish Disease, from the Niigata Inland Water Fisheries Experiment Station in Niigata, Japan.

Mr. Sato’s organization is tasked with the health monitoring and certification of Koi Farms in the Niigata prefecture. These certifications grant koi breeders in the Niigata Prefecture the ability to safely export their product to koi lovers around the world.  Mr. Sato will discuss the causes and control of diseases that affect koi, including KHV and SVC, prevention of these diseases as well as the health controls in place for exporting koi from Japan.

Don’t miss this chance to learn more from industry experts, and have the opportunity to ask questions and shape the discussion surrounding koi health today. We will conclude this session with a barbecue lunch, so please let us know you will be attending by calling Pan Intercorp at 1-800-827-5819.
